Call for WoMoz Sprint'18

Hey Mozillians,

International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, as well as act as a catalyst for change when it comes to gender equality. Though many women are marking their achievements in various fields, we have women who fears to come out of their home.

We as WoMozTN(Women in Mozilla Tamilnadu) who are part of this technical world, strongly believe that it’s our responsibility to open the opportunity which we got to the fellow girls with this. With this spirit we are organising an event for girls on March. This is going to be one among the biggest event hosted by Women and for Women.

We are inviting contributors to host events and support women contributors to come out from obstacles to mark their progress.

SPRINT THEME: In this sprint, the contributors are going to create a WebVR scene using A- Frame under the theme called Press for Progress.

Proposed Agenda for the offline event:

• A presentation on “ Women in technology and how they push themselves”
• A talk on the available opportunities for women
• Discussion about the Problems faced by the girls and finding solution for that
• Introduction to WoMozilla, its goal and tracks
• Hands-on session in WebVR (Attendees will be creating the VR scene for the proposed theme)
• Swag distribution and Group photo

Note: Contributors can host events in March. Once completed the sprint task, please express your enthisiasm in tweets with the above hashtag. The presentation going to be used will be centralised one, so that the content shared will be same at all the places.
